State rules allow parks to have security gates at roadway entrances. The minimum width of streets required in parks depends upon when parks were constructed. Street widths determine if State regulations allow on-street parking (see Table). Park rules also may limit on-street parking. Park owners may request local fire agencies to declare that roadways are fire lanes. Vehicle parking may be restricted in fire lanes. State laws do not require that park roadways be paved unless required for storm water drainage.
