Wastewater Collection

Parks must collect wastewater from manufactured homes and deliver it to a suitable treatment system. HCD regulations require that wastewater drain inlets not be less than three inches in diameter. Inlets should be threaded or fitted with a clamp. The inlet should be encased in concrete to prevent movement. In some cases drains must be vented. Exterior vent pipes must be ten feet from the lot line and extend ten feet above grade.

Installers commonly use a flexible pipe to connect to the wastewater drain. The pipe should be no longer than necessary to make the connection. To assist drainage, the pipe should be installed with a grade. Connections need to be gas tight.
